It’s been a while but we’re still at it – check out this cabinet we just made for a client. The top is pine and the legs are peeled cedar.
We’ve had a lot going on lately — namely the purchase and management of a small bookstore in Saranac Lake (Moose Maple Books; website forthcoming but check us out on Facebook) — but we’re still in the furniture business. In fact, we’re knee deep in sawdust preparing for this year’s Rustic Furniture Fair at the Adirondack Museum, September 14 & 15. Check out some of the new pieces we’re working on:
Triple 5×7 frame, primed but not painted.
Root base for table.
Sofa table. Custom order.
Russ will be leading a rustic plant stand workshop at the Adirondack Folk School on Sunday, April 21st. It’s a daylong event — 9AM till 4PM — that promises to be fun. It’s the first of three he’ll be teaching so if you miss this one you have two more chances.
They offer many interesting classes on a variety of topics. Check out their website and sign up for something!
It’s official — Bookman Designs will be represented at the Adirondack Museum’s Rustic Furniture Fair this year. (This will be our 9th year at this show.) Located on the museum’s beautiful grounds in Blue Mountain Lake NY, the show dates are September 14 & 15. We’ll post more information as the date approaches. We hope to see you there!
